Michael Stec wants people to know how he ended up in a hospital, paralyzed, and breathing thru a ventilator tube, almost over night.  Stec told an NBC 6 reporter in Miami that when he arrived at the emergency room last October, unable to walk, the doctors immediately asked if he had gotten a flu vaccination.  That’s when they diagnosed him with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Stec was a body builder in peak shape when GBS quickly paralyzed him.  He stated that he told his story to NBC 6 because he wants people to know the risks before making a decision to get an influenza vaccine.  Comments posted online about Stec’s experience include 3 people who state they experienced severe GBS within a week after getting the flu shot.

If you or a family member had a similar debilitating experience after a vaccination, there is a federal program that can help financially. It’s called the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP).  However, getting compensated for your vaccine injury is a complex and challenging procedure.  You’ll be pitted against experienced US Department of Justice attorneys while you try to make your claim and possibly go to trial.  That’s why you need an experienced vaccine litigation attorney to help you file your claim and obtain compensation.

Find out how the vaccine lawyers at Maglio Christopher & Toale, P.A. can help you and your family navigate the vaccine injury compensation litigation process.  Please tell us about your situation by contacting our office at 888-952-5242 or by filling out our online vaccine contact form.
